Ceph attracts a lot of attention. As the storage solution of choice for OpenStack Ceph helps you to allocate your storage resources in OpenStack environments. But when it comes down to managing storage resources in Ceph, it turns out it is not just a click away. Ceph has to be managed via command line making storage management for OpenStack really challenging. openATTIC is an open Software-Defined Storage project dedicated to close the gap between OpenStack and Ceph by visualizing storage management. It provides a graphical interface and open API and is integrated in Ceph. Using openATTIC’s GUI you can allocate and manage storage resources using Ceph’s functionalities without struggling with code or command line. In this speech I will show how to close the storage gap and unleash the power of Ceph for OpenStack by using a combined set of open source tools under a graphical interface
