The Thunderdome is back. This full-house session from the Paris Summit is reloaded for Vancouver. But this time, panelists will have to fight to survive, and guest judges chosen from the audience by cloud warrior and Cloudsoft VP Business Development Caroline McCrory will decide who wins.

In this panel, experts who have deployed OpenStack in each of five methodologies — services, appliances, distros, DIY and consulting — will engage in a debate, each making their cases for the best OpenStack deployment model.

Randy Bias, OpenStack entrepreneur and EMC exec will ask the questions and hold panelists’ feet to the fire for responsible answers. Guest judges will have the final say, lifting score cards to signal their reactions to the performances, Olympic style.

The Thunderdome will strip away vendor shill and cloudwashing, forcing panelists to give direct and unambiguous responses to tough questions about how to move OpenStack from PoC to production. It’s equal parts honest critique, practical advice and tweet-worthy entertainment.

Join us at the Thunderdome. Those who are squeamish, light-sensitive, have weak a stomach, or ate a heavy lunch, you’ve been warned.
